watched two films by Kathryn Bigelow that we describe as propaganda
for the American Soul: Zero Dark Thirty and The Hurt
Locker. This turns into a
general commentary on Bigelow's whole filmography as it relates to
U.S. capitalist/imperialist propaganda in general.
Many
laughs, icy cold takes, controversial statements, and liquid hot
magma analyses ensue. We also discuss the our strong feelings about
stealing cephalopod valor.
